A single-arm study assessed the feasibility and acceptability of a self-directed, web-based positive affect skills intervention for 23 women living with HIV (WLWH) within the Women's Interagency HIV Study's longitudinal observational cohort. Feasibility was determined by the frequency of home practice and the completion of post-intervention assessments, while acceptability was determined by the positive feedback received from exit interviews, concerning the program's recommendation to friends or other people living with HIV. Attachment insecurities manifest in varied approaches to intimacy and sex, though their contribution to sexual desire is largely unexplored. The current study, leveraging attachment and behavioral motivational theories, explored how attachment anxieties influence sexual desire, differentiating effects based on the desired partner. Among the components of the Sexual Desire Inventory was a general measure of dyadic desire, coupled with a differentiated measure between desire specifically for one's partner and desire for an attractive potential sexual partner (attractive other desire). In 321 young adults (51% male), two structural equation models (SEMs) were assessed. One, the 'Dyadic Combined model', and the other, the 'Partner Type model', each investigated the influence of attachment on the desire for a relationship. Gender, relationship status, sexual identity, racial/ethnic background, number of previous sexual partners, and measurement error were all factors taken into account by the models. Preliminary confirmatory factor analyses indicated acceptable factor loadings (exceeding .40) for the desire constructs, but the partner type measure yielded a superior model fit. The Dyadic Combined model, in the SEMs, was consistently outperformed by the Partner Type model across all performance indices. People exhibiting attachment avoidance showed lower levels of desire for their current partner, yet a higher interest in other attractive individuals. Partner-specific desire was higher among those exhibiting attachment anxiety, while attraction to others remained unaffected by this anxiety. Attachment avoidance, marked by discomfort with intimacy, discourages sexual interest in romantic partners, but paradoxically may heighten sexual attraction toward individuals not involved in an attachment relationship. Varied correlations across desire metrics suggest that precisely delineating the target of desire is crucial for a comprehensive understanding of individual differences in desire. Sexual desires directed exclusively towards a particular partner represent a unique experience, to be kept separate from general sexual desires.

The roles of porters are vital for sustaining the daily activities of a hospital. Among their duties are the transfer of patients and medical equipment across the hospital's wards and departments. The process demands the timely and accurate conveyance of specimens, drugs, and patient records to their intended destinations. Hence, a reliable and trustworthy porter team is critical for hospitals to maintain high-quality patient care and ensure the smoothness of daily workflow. Yet, the available porter systems often fall short of providing a detailed account of porter movement. The dispatch center does not have explicit awareness of the porters' deployment. Consequently, the dispatcher lacks awareness of whether porters dedicate their entire work time to service provision. Porter operations' invisibility creates difficulties for hospitals to assess and improve their efficiency. This work commenced with the development of an indoor location-based porter management system (LOPS) which leveraged the existing indoor positioning infrastructure of National Taiwan University Hospital's YunLin Branch. Porter assignments and task prioritization are facilitated by the LOPS system, which delivers real-time location information to dispatchers. A five-month field trial was then implemented to collect evidence of porters' activity. To conclude, quantitative analyses were executed to evaluate the operational efficiency of porter services. This encompassed the analysis of porter movement patterns over varying time periods and areas, the distribution of work among the porters, and the identification of any service delivery bottlenecks.
